Description

INTENDED FOR
Certifying Staff, holders of the appropriate Part-66 B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance License, and technicians.

COURSE OBJECTIVE
This course provides extensive training on BOEING 787-8/9/10 (RR TRENT 1000) and BOEING 787-8/9/10 (GEnx) airframe, powerplant and avionic systems.

On completion of the course, the student will have the theoretical knowledge to enable application for type rating endorsement and to satisfactorily perform the duties of a certifying staff for the aircraft type concerned and to apply for issue or extension of a company authorisation, subject to all national authority conditions and company requirements.

The student will be able to demonstrate detailed description, operation, component location, removal/installation and troubleshooting procedures in accordance with the maintenance manual and approved maintenance data. In addition to the theoretical training on aircraft systems and components, the following will also be covered during the course:
• Relevant ‘in-service’ problems
• Known human factor issues
• Relevant Service Bulletins & Airworthiness Directives
• Relevant Technical Publications & Technical Manuals
• Relevant inspections and limitations due to environmental factors
These requires understanding, access to and use of documentation, such as the Maintenance Manual, Schematics Manual, Wiring Diagrams, Illustrated Parts Catalogue, 

Master Minimum Equipment List, Configuration Deviation List, approved procedures and the necessary tools and equipment, including the knowledge of relevant inspections and limitations.

PREREQUISITES
The student should have attended approved basic training, have technical background, good knowledge of general English language and of the technical English terms used in aviation.

EXAMINATIONS
A minimum score of 75% of each examination session is required to receive a Certificate of Recognition for the theoretical element of the aircraft type training described herein. Examinations are multiple-choice type with three alternative answers of which only one is correct.

STUDENT MATERIALS
Participants will be provided with a hyperlink, memory device or other suitable medium containing the related course material.

ATTENDANCE
All students must achieve a minimum 90% attendance rate across the full duration of the course in order for a Certificate of Recognition to be issued.

TRAINING DURATION PER DAY
The standard training day is based upon 6 hours of instruction per day, excluding examinations and break times. Whilst taking into account pedagogical and human factors principles, there may be rare occasions where 6 hours may be exceeded due to operational or unforeseen circumstances. In these instances, Croatian CAA will be notified.
